The vines of Château de la Ragotière grow on a rock called schist.

After 30 cm of soil, the roots directly reach the parent rock. Depending on the age of the vines, they can go down to 7 meters depth to find food!

Combined with our oceanic climate, this friable rock gives a beautiful minerality and a pleasant freshness to our wines.
