A new sculpture at the Château de la Ragotière

Inaugurated during our open days, this sculpture invites you to enter the Château de la Ragotière.

Its origin is in the name of the estate … Indeed, did you know that the “ragot” designates the adolescent boar ? The sculpture represents the tusks of the animal : two large on the side and two smaller on the front.

L’Atelier Why Not has chosen to work with different materials to give a special meaning to this work. The large steel tusks take on a beautiful rusty shade in the sunlight. Their raw appearance represents the foundations and the historic past of the estate.

The central core, the small tusks, made of brass represent modernity and elegance. It also calls to mind the bright golden robe of our wines…
